In America alone, at least 50% of seniors experience osteoporosis, osteopenia, and even sarcopenia as they get older and hopefully wiser. Moreover, many of the present therapies available today only relieve pain temporarily and do not address the cause. A new book, "Hip, Knee, Joint, Back Pain, Stiffness Relief, Supplemented with Electrotherapy," gets to the source of the problems listed in the title, with a chapter devoted to each one. The authors, Drs. Thomas Valone and Jacqueline Panting are scientists at Integrity Research Institute, which specializes in electrotherapeutic solutions for such ailments. Furthermore, they are often busy addressing many clients' painful summaries of their conditions every day, and so, recording their answers to often asked questions in a book form, with explanations and illustrations, was a high priority for each of them. For example, knee pain seems to be a very prevalent issue among seniors. Some cannot stand for very long and have trouble walking, with cartilage loss being the main issue. In this book, the boldfaced sentence that should stand out states, "knees and other joints don't have a single blood vessel to deliver nutrients." Therefore, doctors often advise movement as a major therapy for knees, including deep knee bends or "squats," which are an easy, perhaps painful, way to restore cartilage, especially if collagen, gelatin (e.g., Knox Nutrajoint), MSM, glucosamine, and chondroitin all in the circulatory system at least an hour before exercise. Then, supplementing with one of the several devices available today, such as the EM Pulser 78 or the OsteoPad, whose circuit NASA has endorsed for "regenerating cartilage" by simulating weight-bearing exercise, will complete the therapeutic recovery even overnight, as addressed in Chapters 3 and 4 of this new book. Electrotherapy has a one-hundred-year history that is now being revived since it works quickly and has virtually no side effects and few contraindications. A companion to the Bioelectromagnetic Healing book by Dr. Valone, the latest book addresses lots of simple, direct home-based solutions besides the basics of Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field (PEMF) details. A handy resource book, it may become a classic in the popular field of non-invasive electromedicine. Available as a paperback, hardcover, or Kindle ebook.
